Effective cooling system with more dependence on natural cooling and physical architecture of the facility helps in routing the heat and dust and hence improves the performance of data center.
- Scalability & granularity: Upgrading and downgrading the size and services of data centers according to the requirements helps in enhancing the performance of the data center. However, such scalability should be limited to the unit level i.e. if an additional block of power distribution unit or data center unit is to be added or removed, it shouldn’t affect the operations going on inside the data center already.
- Benchmarking the data center environment: Estimating the value of energy used inside a data center and detailed load analysis helps to manage the data center. Moreover, periodic calculations and comparison between the current efficiency and standard efficiency of the center helps to reconfigure the facility for optimum performance.
